Community Recycling based in Llandudno was established in 2001 and provides a scheduled green waste kerbside collection service to households within the County of Conwy, North Wales.
All collected green waste is processed at our site and turned into compost, which is bagged and sold back into the community.
Since February 2005 we have been in partnership with Conwy County Borough Council to provide a free green waste collection service which runs in tandem with their kerbside recycling scheme.
We currently operate a fortnightly scheduled collection along the northern stretch of the Conwy coastal towns and villages, making a total of 20 routes. The service is due to expand further down the coast in the near future
If you wish to make enquiries about the scheme and participation please contact us on 01492 596783 or e-mail us at communityrecycling@crest-cooperative.org.uk
In our efforts to reduce plastic bag waste, we sell and recommend a durable and re-usable box bag. The bags are specifically designed for green waste and represent excellent value compared to disposable bags. To find out further information and local box bag stockist details, telephone Crest on 01492 596783.
Compost is available to purchase in quantities of 20 litre, 40 litre and 500 litre bulk bags and is available in two grades. To place your order contact us at communityrecycling@crest-cooperative.org.uk or ring 01492 596783. Compost is also available to buy from Bryn Euryn Nursery, Bron-y-Nant, Dinerth Rd., Mochdre, and Barry's of Pensarn, Marine Rd., Pensarn.
In addition to the scheduled collections, we also provide a competitively priced large volume green waste collection service throughout Conwy County. To book your special collection contact communityrecycling@crest-cooperative.org.uk or ring 01492 596783.
